MST3k – Mr. B. Natural (parts 1 and 2)
If there is one show that I could resurrect on television, it would be Knight Rider. Hehehe, just kidding…that Cylon-eyed car gave me nightmares. It would be Mystery Science Theater 3000. For those of you uninitiated to the show, here’s the quick breakdown:
While working at Gizmonic institute as a janitor, our hero (Joel) was sent into space by two mad scientist types, forced to live on the Satellite of Love. After a bit, Joel built two robots (Crow T. Robot and Tom Servo) out of bits of the space station he found himself marooned on. The scientists then began their grand and evil experiment – to force Joel (and his two robot companions) to sit and watch some of the worst movies ever made in order to melt his mind. As a method of self preservation, Joel and the bots would verbalize a running commentary of what they were seeing on the screen. And…well, that’s it, in a nutshell.
So here’s a little taste of MST3k, one of the ‘shorts’ they did before the main feature called , “Mr. B Natural” (it’s in two parts, a little under ten minutes each).
